SEMPAI SAMUEL COCKBURN
Sempai Samuel has been training in Kyokushin Karate since the age of 13. He is a diligent student of this very challenging and often physically intense Way of martial arts. In his thirteen years of study, he has gained exceptional skill and understanding in the Budo Way of Karate. As is always said by Sempai Samuel, "In Karate, you are always just beginning. Hence, there is always something to learn". For this reason he feels fortunate to have meet Shihan Randolph James and is honored to be under his expert tutelage. At the James Kyokushin Karate Jutsukan Dojo , Sempai Samuel has had a warm welcome by his new Karate family and serves there as an Assistant Instructor. He was awarded the 2nd Kyu (Brown Belt) by Shihan James on March 28th 2006 and continues to train at the James Dojo with pride. In Sempai Samuel's class you will experience a vigorous program that will benefit your overall health and well-being. For those interested in Kyokushin Karate particularly for tournament and real life self-defense encounters, a rigorous program of Jinsen Kumite (full-contact fighting), Kihon (Basics), and body conditioning have always been key ingredients of Sempai Samuel's Kyokushin upbringing. As the Chief Instructor and Ministry Visionary of the Hitonoko Kyokushin Karate Ministry of Holy Love Pentecostal Church of God Inc., Sempai's principal objective is to help others understand and live in the Character of Christ Jesus. His personal and ultimate desire and endeavour is to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone he meets and pray that they come into a relationship with God.
